I found this pin but it did not lead my to a website. Luckily the directions are simple - put any fabric you choose under a glass frame and use as a tray in your home. This would be really cute on a dresser or bathroom counter!

The Copley collection from Hearts On Fire is quickly becoming my favorite and these pave pendants would look great day or night! The hardest part is choosing white gold, yellow gold, or rose. How about all three layered on different length chains?

March 1st means time to take down the winter decorations and get ready for spring. I want to get some white hydrangeas and keep them in a mason jar on my coffee table. Maybe paint the jar grey/silver?

These quinoa patties are easy to make and you can use whatever you have on hand to flavor them. If you make a big batch of the mix just keep it in a bowl in the fridge. Form patties to cook as needed throughout the week.

These would be great over a salad for lunch as well!

I have everything I need to make these already in the house - love when that happens!!

Pre-heat your oven to 375 F. Open the crescent rolls according to package direction. 

Spread melted butter on rolls and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up the crescents and bake at 375 F for 11-13 mins. 

While the crescents are cooking mix 1 1/3 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk. Spoon the icing over the crescents as soon as they come out of the oven and still hot.

This week there was so many good pins on Pinterest I have six pins to share instead of my typical top 5!

As I start to think about how I want to update my house I have been trying to decide on a color palette that will make everything look bright and fresh. I found this pin and was immediately inspired...I love the neutral scheme with a few light pastels mixed in. I already own a Organic Cotton Pintuck Sea Spray duvet from west elm so there is my light mint green...maybe a grey wall next?

I have a jar very similar to these in my bathroom that I hold my cotton balls and q-tips in but I never thought to glue them on top of candlesticks! I am on the hunt for 2 or 3 of them now so let me know if you come across any.

Pinterest Faves: Week of 1/27/13 - 2/2/13

Oh yeah!!

I got my weekly Pinterest faves up two weeks in a row...and only 1 day behind the Sunday schedule I want to stick with :)

First up...my next DIY project. All you need is some fabric, styrofoam boards and a stapler. Dress up any boring wall with your very own art work.

Now if I could only find some fabric I really like...

This scarf is from the site Three Bird Nest and I bought it as soon as I saw it. I was so happy to find out this scarf was only $24! Check out their site they have really great clothes and accessories!

This weekend's excitement included a broken washer machine and a laundry closet in desperate need of a cleaning out. While looking at new machines online I got side tracked looking at ways to update the laundry closet so it gets the best use.

Which lead me here...this isn't a closet but I love the wicker bins and the table on top of the machine to make folding clean clothes so easy.

I love Pinterest and am definitely one of those people who go on it daily. I really try to pin things I will either cook, buy, or go back to for reference - otherwise I would be way too overwhelmed and never look at what I pinned.

I loved these hooks so much I ended up buying them from the Etsy shop BOLDHOUSE. 

They came in a set of 2 but I messaged the shop owner and asked if she could make me a custom set of 5 and she did! They are shipping out on Monday and I can't wait to get them. I'm going to hang them on my wall next to my closet to hang my necklaces on. 

I'll try to remember to post a picture when I'm done!

DIY: Nail Polish & House Keys Facelift Project

I've seen the idea to paint keys different colors all over Pinterest. 

When I first moved into my house (5 years ago this April - CRAZY!!) I had keys made at Home Depot. I chose keys that were different colors to distinguish what door they were for but over the years the color wore off. 

This weekend I decided to paint them and they actually came out really good!


From left to right I used:

N.Y.C French White Tip, Essie Tart Deco, Essie Where's My Chauffeur, and Nicole by O.P.I The Next CEO (on the bottom half of all the keys).

I am currently obsessed with turquoise right now and white/gold is one of my favorite go-to color combinations for everything from clothes and jewelry to home decoration.

Am I such a nerd to say I love my newly painted keys?

If you are going to try this out I would suggest putting a piece of tape where you want one color to end and the next color to start to get a nice straight line. Paint one half of the key and let dry. Re-tape on the line and paint the other half of the key.

Let dry overnight and do the same for the other side of the key.

Mason Jars and Chalkboard Paint - a perfect match!

I love mason jars. 

Actually, I have a mason jar obsession. Ask my roommate...she will back me up on this.

I purchased some Classico sauce and what do you know...it COMES in a mason jar. Jackpot!! When the jar was finished I  the soaked and scrubbed the label off then ran the jar and cap through the dishwasher.

Once clean, I sprayed the tops with 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Specialty Chalkboard Spray Paint and let dry overnight.

When I need to use the jar I always label the top with Pentel Arts Wet Erase Chalk Marker. When it's empty the writing comes right off with a wet paper towel and the jar can be re-used!

Oh, and aren't they adorable??
