Pinterest Faves: Week of 2/24/13 - 3/2/13

March 1st means time to take down the winter decorations and get ready for spring. I want to get some white hydrangeas and keep them in a mason jar on my coffee table. Maybe paint the jar grey/silver?

My sister had a great geo patterned cardigan from Urban Outfitters that they no longer sell :( This is the closest thing I've been able to find to it yet...

I don't know which of these pretzel bite recipes I want to try to make first??

Pretzel Bites - 3 ways

These quinoa patties are easy to make and you can use whatever you have on hand to flavor them. If you make a big batch of the mix just keep it in a bowl in the fridge. Form patties to cook as needed throughout the week.

These would be great over a salad for lunch as well!

This pin was kind of a dud because it didn't lead me to the website it was originally from. Luckily it had the recipe in the description.

I have everything I need to make these already in the house - love when that happens!!

Pre-heat your oven to 375 F. Open the crescent rolls according to package direction.

Spread melted butter on rolls and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up the crescents and bake at 375 F for 11-13 mins.

While the crescents are cooking mix 1 1/3 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk. Spoon the icing over the crescents as soon as they come out of the oven and still hot.

Pinterest Faves: Week of 2/17/13 - 2/23/13

This week there was so many good pins on Pinterest I have six pins to share instead of my typical top 5!

As I start to think about how I want to update my house I have been trying to decide on a color palette that will make everything look bright and fresh. I found this pin and was immediately inspired...I love the neutral scheme with a few light pastels mixed in. I already own a Organic Cotton Pintuck Sea Spray duvet from west elm so there is my light mint green...maybe a grey wall next?

I have a jar very similar to these in my bathroom that I hold my cotton balls and q-tips in but I never thought to glue them on top of candlesticks! I am on the hunt for 2 or 3 of them now so let me know if you come across any.

I am obsessed with this color combination...is it summer yet?

And now for for the food...

I loved Golden Graham treats as a kid and I found this super easy make at home recipe that I will definitely be trying out soon!

If you live in the South Boston neighborhood you are probably really excited about the opening of Foodie's Market. Finally we have a place to get higher quality meats, cheeses, and seafood. I can't wait to get my hands on some scallops and try out this recipe for Seared Scallops over Lemon-Ricotta pasta.

Need a really easy side dish? How about Parmesan & Spinach Orzo? I bet you have most, if not all, of the ingredients already at home and it is a great recipe to sneak veggies into.

I hope you enjoyed my favorite Pinterest picks from this past week!

Pinterest Faves: Week of 2/3/13 - 2/9/13

I can't find the original site these rings came from but I really want the little bird one!

Animal Rings

I love these because you can make them with whatever you have in the fridge. Serve them with these.

Then serve this for dessert. #PerfectBrunchmenu

I want to do this project under my bathroom and kitchen sink.

Every summer we see Kenny Chesney play at Gillette Stadium. This year's countryfest tailgate is going to have to include these pre-made drinks in mason jars, chilled on ice.

Can't wait to drink one of these while tailgating next to this.

Pinterest Faves: Week of 1/27/13 - 2/2/13

Oh yeah!!

I got my weekly Pinterest faves up two weeks in a row...and only 1 day behind the Sunday schedule I want to stick with :)

First up...my next DIY project. All you need is some fabric, styrofoam boards and a stapler. Dress up any boring wall with your very own art work.

Now if I could only find some fabric I really like...

Suggestions on where to look?

These are my dream kitchen colors and textures:

Once I have my dream kitchen I will definitely want to have a pantry that looks like this:

This scarf is from the site Three Bird Nest and I bought it as soon as I saw it. I was so happy to find out this scarf was only $24! Check out their site they have really great clothes and accessories!

This weekend's excitement included a broken washer machine and a laundry closet in desperate need of a cleaning out. While looking at new machines online I got side tracked looking at ways to update the laundry closet so it gets the best use.

Which lead me here...this isn't a closet but I love the wicker bins and the table on top of the machine to make folding clean clothes so easy.

I hope everyone had a great weekend (and how AMAZING Beyonce?!?!)

West Elm = Motivation to get organized

I have a new obsession with west elm. Every time I am on their site I want to give my house an entire facelift and buy everything from west elm alone.

Since I can't do that I figured new year, I will plan to organize the entire house and update where I can as I go. The list of what needs to be cleaned out, donated, re-arranged, whatever, goes on for what seems like ever. I hate this project. But I will love it so much when its done which will hopefully be before 2014.

The first night I started out with my toiletries. I threw away anything that was almost gone and doesn't get frequent use. Old makeup, lotions that I didn't love, and random crap that ended up in the medicine cabinet. Goodbye. I cut down on the number towels I have as well.

The next night it was the sock drawer, some tanks and a portion of my closet. The night after that old purses and travel bags. Maybe I will actually be able to do this?

What I chose to update in my bedroom was my duvet cover and pillow shams. I purchased the Organic Cotton Pintuck Sea Spray duvet and two king shams from where else...west elm!

I love it so much! It just arrived today and I can't wait to make the swap :)

Whenever I make it to the kitchen part of this project I have my eye on Crafted Dinnerware set for some new dishes. I especially love the over sized mugs - to be used as bowls obviously!

Either a set in all gray...

Or mix and matching looks pretty great too.

Check out west elm for some really great items for your home. I hope you love it as much as I do!
